Self Reflection: Effective communication helps us better understand a person or situation and enables us to resolve differences, build trust, respect, and create environments where creative ideas, problem solving, affection, and caring, amongst others can flourish. As simple as communication seems, much of what we try to communicate to others and what others try to communicate to us, gets misunderstood. This can cause conflict and frustration in personal and professional relationships. By learning these effective communication skills, from this COMM 1010 class I alongside the class members are able to better connect with our family,friends, and coworkers. | Favorite Assignment: My favorite assignment this semester by far was the "interview part 1 and part 2" which was our very first assignment this semester. The reason I loved working on this homework was it helped tremendously in gathering more information on the job position I want. Alongside it helping gather more information than I had originally had it built a great business connection with my interviewee who was honored that I thought so highly of him to interview him for my school project over all the other financial advisors within the company. This was a very fun and informative assignment. |
